Frank Clement Heath

b. July 2, 1897 - Shelton, Stafford England
d. August 23, 1972

m. August 27, 1925 to Corrie E. A. Leaver
in Maxville, Ont.

Family: Roberta S. Fraser (nee Heath), Qualicum Beach, BC; and
Verna F. Heath of Richmond, BC.

Career:

WW1: R.C.A.S.C.-- July 1915-May 1919. Served in France 8 months with 27th Battalion. One gold wound stripe.

Joined regular forces with RCCS on April 19th, 1921 at age 23.

Total service:26 years & 309 days.

Discharged Feb. 21, 1948 with rank of Sgt. Maj. (WO1)

Served 19 years in Dawson City, Y.T. in charge of Station VEA. Arrived in Dawson on Sept. 11, 1923 in charge of a RCCS detachment sent to set up the radio service. Was posted to Ottawa in 1928 and returned to Dawson City on August 16, 1933 to resume charge of the station. He continued in that role until April 1947 and then proceeded to discharge and retirement.

After retirement settled in Vancouver but worked for a few years as purser on the Yukon and White Pass Railway paddle steamers running between Whitehorse and Dawson city.
