NOTE: "Gris" Griswold kept a daily diary during his time in the North. Much of it has been lost but we are fortunate that his family has managed to keep a small portion of it: written in Ft. Smith and covers the period from July 1928 to July 1930. It is a fascinating glimps into the day to day life of a signaler and his family in the early days of the NWT&Y Radio system.
Gris's daily journal for the years 1928 to 1930 can be found at: JOURNAL .
