Harry Madden was a bag-piper. He was written up in Time Magazine,
Canada Edition,
when he piped in the haggis on Robbie Burns day in Yellowknife in
1949.
Harry switched over to the RS Branch of the Royal Canadian Navy in
the early 1950's. He was a Leading Seaman (LSRS) at HMCS GLOUCESTER
in 1957 and Petty Officer First Class (P1RS) in 1963. When he went
through New Entry training at HMCS CORNWALLIS he was awarded a trophy
for the highest in his class and there was a write up on him in the
Navy's publication "The Crowsnest".
