Cy Jones transferred from the Reserves to the Permanent Force in Toronto in 1937. He served in Europe during WW II and returned with the rank of WO II. He was then posted to Norman Wells as IC Station. He was commissioned in Norman Wells and posted back to the Depot in Camp Borden. He was transferred to the School in Vimy Barracks in 1957/58 and taught there until his retirement in June 1964. His rank on retirement was Captain.
