GOAD, Robert Douglas - Age 82, passed away peacefully February 1, 2006, at MSA Hospital in Abbotsford, BC. 

Robert was born in Toronto, where he grew up.  He enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces during World War II and served his Country proudly for 37 years in the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals.  During his service, he was stationed all across Canada and he retired with the rank of Chief Warrant Officer. 

Although Robert's accomplishments were many, including Atlantic Command Curling Champion and Canadian Forces Boxing Champion, it was his family and fishing that were his passions, both of which he passed on to his children.  Robert will be forever remembered by his wife Dale, his children, Stephen, Carolyn and Philip and his grandchildren Stephen,Shane,Aaron,Cory and Lachina.  He will be missed by many other family members and close friends.   Robert is predeceased by his first wife Edie, his sons, Robert and Kenneth, his brother Herbert, and his sister Jean.
