Ennadai Station 58 years later

I came across your website and thought I would share some pictures of the Ennadai Lake sig station as it stands today. These pictures were taken in mid-August 2006 and as you can see all the buildings are still there as well as a new weather station! The D-6 Caterpillar is also still parked inside the small building with grey roofing.

I'm currently a college student and worked last summer ('06) with Environment Canada. I was brought along to help out with the regular weather station maintenance in the region. It was really interesting to see this site, and a little eerie as well to see all these well preserved, empty buildings. I asked my co-workers about the station and nobody even mentioned to me that this was originally a weather station. They did all know however that is had been a Transport Canada signalling station. One of the pictures is taken from the top of the hill facing south to where the runway used to be. I had a hard time believing it at first but you can just barely make it out.
